Basic Information About the Renovation
The property is a terraced house apartment built in the late 1980s. Its bathroom, sauna, and toilet were in need of an update. The renovation completely renewed the wet areas to meet current technical requirements while also reflecting the customer’s wishes for functionality and appearance.
Work Completed and Changes Made
The bathroom, sauna, and toilet were almost completely rebuilt. The old surfaces, fixtures, and structures were removed, after which the spaces were reconstructed in accordance with current wet room requirements.
In the bathroom and sauna, the floor structures, underfloor heating, and floor drains were renewed. The walls were reboarded where necessary, and all wet areas were waterproofed before the new tiles were installed.
The sauna was fitted with new black alder wall panelling and prefabricated benches with integrated lighting, creating a warm and peaceful atmosphere.
In the toilet, the surfaces were renewed, the ceiling was panelled, and the floor was retiled. New fixtures and fittings were also installed as part of the renovation.
The electrical systems were redesigned according to the customer’s wishes, and new lighting was installed throughout the spaces.
The Final Result
The completed renovation feels harmonious, warm, and inviting.
In the wet areas, light wall surfaces and grey floor tiles create a timeless look, while black details add contrast and structure. A round mirror and blue-toned feature tiles in the toilet bring personality to the space without making the overall design feel too busy.
In the sauna, warm wooden surfaces, indirect lighting, and a new sauna heater create an inviting and relaxing atmosphere.
