Paitsio Pub Unveils Its Stunning New Look
Pre-Match. After-Match. The KuPS Atmosphere.
Located at the heart of Kuopio’s Väre Arena, Paitsio Pub has been given a fresh new look that makes the space more functional and welcoming than before.
Jokiväri carried out the renovation of the restaurant space, transforming the atmosphere of the entire pub. The aim was to create a comfortable, approachable space that reflects the identity of KuPS, where supporters can get into the match-day spirit. Safety and functionality were also improved significantly.
What Was Done?
- a partition wall was removed to make the space more open
- the ceiling was painted black
- the old wallpaper was removed and replaced with yellow paint matching the KuPS brand
- the lower wall panelling was painted black to create a more consistent appearance
- the bar counter was relocated and redesigned while reusing as much of the existing structure as possible
“It was great that so much of the existing material could be reused during the renovation. Jokiväri also suggested solutions and functional improvements that I would not have thought of myself,” says KuPS Office Manager Johanna Taipale.
The client was extremely pleased with the result:
“The renovation met our expectations and gave the space exactly the functionality and appearance it needed.”
The Final Result
The space now has a clear new identity. The colour scheme, lighting and functionality are fully aligned with the KuPS brand. The atmosphere is strongly sports-oriented while remaining warm and welcoming.
Supporters had the opportunity to experience the renewed pub during the season’s opening home match on Saturday, 12 April 2025.
