Objective and Description
The aim of the project was to renovate and modernise the auditorium at Riveria’s Niskala campus to meet current teaching needs. The work was carried out on a tight schedule, and the auditorium was completed before the start of the school year on 31 July 2025. Jokiväri acted as the main contractor.
Solutions
The project was completed on a tight schedule while the client’s normal daily operations continued partly alongside the renovation work. Fire safety and sound insulation were also improved during the project.

- asbestos removal and other demolition work
- renewal of the flooring and suspended ceiling
- installation of an acoustic wall
- alterations to partition walls
- treatment and painting of existing walls
- fire and acoustic sealing work
- heating, plumbing, ventilation and electrical work, including management of separate contracts
- installation of new auditorium seating and audiovisual equipment supplied by the client
The Final Result
The modernised auditorium now provides improved acoustics and greater comfort for users. The project was completed according to schedule and fully met the client’s objectives.
