Sauna and Terrace Renovation
Koistinen’s sauna facilities were given a fresh, light appearance with high-quality spruce panelling that complements the light-coloured cottage beautifully. The sauna benches and washroom seating were made from attractively grained black alder selected by the customer.
The sauna, washroom and changing room were completely refurbished. The renovation was carried out carefully according to the customer’s wishes. Stylish details and atmospheric lighting completed the renewed sauna interior.
In addition to the new surface finishes, the wall and ceiling insulation was replaced. During the renovation, the old glass wool insulation was replaced with eco-friendly cellulose insulation.
The floors were coated with a water-blue, water-based epoxy paint suitable for concrete. The breathable coating helps prevent moisture damage.
The highlight of the summer area is a completely new sunny terrace with matching steps and large planting boxes, all custom-built by hand from larch.
The renovation of the old sauna facilities and the construction of the new sun terrace were completed with millimetre precision according to the architect’s plans.
