Jokiväri Oy Expands to the Helsinki Metropolitan Area, Operations Begin on 1 August 2025

Jokiväri Oy, a long-established specialist in renovation construction, is expanding its operations to the Helsinki Metropolitan Area. Jesse Savolainen will begin as Regional Manager on 1 August 2025. The company will introduce a selection of its services to the region, including commercial property modernisation, reconstruction following property damage, pipeline renovations, and energy-efficiency renovations.

Practical Experience in Demanding Projects

Jesse Savolainen, the new Regional Manager, has extensive experience in delivering construction projects. Throughout his career, he has gained expertise in both large new-build developments and demanding renovation projects.

One of the most memorable projects he has worked on was the reconstruction of the Meira coffee roastery. It was a technically diverse and unique project in which cooperation, planning, and implementation were closely integrated.

Savolainen has developed his expertise consistently throughout his career and has complemented his practical experience with further studies, including the RAPS programme in property development and construction management.

The aim is to establish a unit staffed by professionals with strong previous experience in construction projects. The long-term objective is to develop a service that creates added value for both the client and the building’s users. In the Helsinki Metropolitan Area, Savolainen will focus on improving the customer experience, addressing project-specific needs, and strengthening quality management.

“The customer’s perspective and quality assurance are at the centre of everything we do. We want to introduce a clear and reliable way of delivering renovation projects in the Helsinki Metropolitan Area,” Savolainen says.

Strong Networks and Design Management Support Successful Projects

To support the expansion, Jokiväri will make use of a strong local network of subcontractors and specialists from different fields. The company will place particular emphasis on managing different contracting models and using effective design management.

“Thanks to our network, we can deliver every project efficiently and to a high standard, regardless of the contracting model. For the customer, this means a smoother project and a successful result,” Savolainen adds.

The JKVR Contracting Model Makes Projects Easier and More Efficient

The JKVR contracting model developed by Jokiväri provides customers with a comprehensive solution in which the entire project, from design to implementation, is managed through a single contractual partner. This simplifies project management, decision-making, and financing arrangements.

“We provide a comprehensive quotation and review the details of the needs assessment and their cost implications together with the customer. The result is a project tailored to the customer’s needs and delivered within budget,” Savolainen explains.

Under the JKVR model, the customer receives completed design proposals for approval, while the project status remains continuously up to date. This improves transparency and strengthens confidence in the progress of the project.

Operations Begin in August

Operations will begin on 1 August 2025. During the initial phase, Jokiväri will meet with property owners, procurement professionals, and design offices. Individual project negotiations will also begin at the same time.

The aim is to establish Jokiväri as a trusted renovation partner in the Helsinki Metropolitan Area and to employ more than 10 industry professionals during the first three years of operations.

Nearly 50 Years of Experience

Jokiväri Oy is an established and well-known company in the renovation construction industry. The company was founded in Joensuu in 1978, originally as a painting business. At the end of the 1980s, its services expanded into renovation construction, and Jokiväri has since grown into a versatile specialist in the field.

Operations in North Savo began in 2013, followed by Tampere in 2023. The company currently has offices in Joensuu, Kuopio, Outokumpu, and Tampere. The Helsinki Metropolitan Area office is located in Järvenpää.
